Teledok is a service that allows you to receive an e-prescription for the medicine you need, an e-certificate from your doctor and an e-referral for tests. You can start an e-consultation at any time - it is based on a medical form which, once submitted, goes to a doctor who sends you an e-prescription, e-certificate and/or e-referral within about an hour.
WHAT IS TELEMEDICINE?
Telemedicine (medicine at a distance) - a form of medical and healthcare services combining elements of telecommunications, IT and medicine. Thanks to the use of new technologies, it makes it possible to break down geographical barriers, allowing the exchange of specialised information by sending both static and dynamic images (transmission of the highest quality ECG, ultrasound, MRI). It allows diagnoses to be made and prescriptions or referrals to be issued remotely.
WHAT DOES COMMUNICATION WITH THE PATIENT LOOK LIKE?
Teledok.co.uk is committed to the confidentiality of medical and personal data. We do not send information regarding our patients' health status via email. Correspondence between patient and doctor regarding consultations carried out, is done in the safest possible way and the company never shares your data with anyone for marketing purposes. We only use it to provide our services.
DOES XMEDICA OPERATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW?
Yes. The medical consultation takes place only through qualified doctors with Polish professional rights. The possibility of conducting medical examinations via ICT systems or communication systems and issuing prescriptions after such an examination was introduced into Polish law (Article 42(1) and (2) of the Act of 5 December 1996 on the professions of physician and dentist). At the same time, in December 2015, the Sejm amended the Law on the Professions of Physician and Dentist. As of 1 March 2018, the Act amending certain laws in connection with the introduction of e-prescription was published. As a result, the provision of telemedicine services and the issuing of electronic prescriptions and referrals in Poland is permitted.
DO YOU RENEW EVERY PRESCRIPTION?
Our doctors can renew any prescription, but we do not renew prescriptions of psychotropic and opioid drugs, narcotics and growth hormone.
WHEN A PATIENT IS REFERRED TO A GP SURGERY?
If an e-prescription or e-referral is refused, the doctor will justify the refusal and may refer the patient to a doctor to carry out the necessary examinations needed for the prescription or to contact the prescriber.
WHO CARRIES OUT THE MEDICAL CONSULTATION?
Every medical consultation takes place with a doctor with a professional right to practice (PWR). Each doctor working with us is checked with the respective OIL (District Medical Chamber).
CAN I SPEAK TO AN XMEDICA DOCTOR ON THE PHONE?
We do not offer the possibility to call our doctors. You are welcome to contact us via the form. Please include your telephone number so that your doctor can contact you for a teleportation.
HOW DOES E-PRESCRIPTION WORK?
Once a patient has selected a medicine or indicated that they wish to be referred to it by a doctor, they must undergo a detailed medical history (telemedicine consultation) via an e-consultation form on teledok.co.uk. Once the completed e-consultation form has been submitted, one of our doctors will be assigned to analyse it. Once the analysis has been completed and a decision has been made that an e-prescription can be issued, the doctor will issue it. Our system will email a 4-digit code to process the e-prescription. At the pharmacy, after entering this code or showing it on the phone screen, the pharmacist will dispense the medicine to us.
HOW DOES E- REFERRAL WORK?
The patient must undergo a detailed medical history (telemedicine consultation) via an e-consultation form. One of our experienced and qualified doctors will be assigned to your application, which will be reviewed by him/her. After a successful medical consultation, the doctor will issue an e-referral and send you by email a 4-digit code to redeem the e-referral at any medical facility in Poland. Referral not for the National Health Fund, private diagnostics only.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE AN E-PRESCRIPTION OR E-REFERRAL?
The average waiting time is 15-30 minutes. In special cases, the completion time for an e-consultation may be longer - this is especially true when a very large number of patients come in.
HOW DO I GET AN E-PRESCRIPTION OR E-REFERRAL?
After the consultation, the doctor sends, via email and SMS, a 4-digit code to redeem the e-prescription or e-referral.
DO I HAVE TO FILL IN THE FORM EVERY TIME I RENEW A PRESCRIPTION FOR THE SAME MEDICINE?
Just as in a traditional doctor's appointment, every time a doctor is to give you a prescription or referral, he or she must take a medical history. Therefore, you must answer all the questions we ask, even if you are re-ordering a medicine that has already been prescribed to you before.
CAN I CANCEL THE CONSULTATION?
If your doctor has already performed an e-consultation and issued an e-prescription, it is too late to cancel your visit. If you contact us as soon as you have completed the medical questionnaire and paid for your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled.
IS THE TELEMEDICINE CONSULTATION SAFE?
Yes, we make every effort to verify the legitimacy of the prescription at every stage. Your medical history through Teledok.co.uk is verified in several stages by the doctor and supported by an IT system that we are constantly improving. We use the latest encryption technology and your data is stored on high-security servers. If concerns arise at any stage, we contact the patient by phone or email to resolve them. We also reserve the right to refuse a prescription if it is not indicated. The total cost of the consultation is then refunded. We would like to point out that a telemedicine consultation is never a substitute for a traditional medical visit and physical examination. We make the patient's eligibility for our services contingent on having an up-to-date examination and history.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THE CONSULTATION?
Cost per teleportation:
- e-prescription, prescription renewal is 59 pln
- e-referral is PLN 69
- e-exemption, e-certificate - PLN 99
- e-consultation: PLN 129
HOW TO PAY FOR THE CONSULTATION?
Payment can be made via the PayU online payment system. If for some reason you do not wish to use online payment, you can pay by traditional bank transfer to the Polish bank account of Teledok.pl. Remember to include your order number in the title of the transfer (you will find it in the email you receive after the consultation).
CAN I PAY FOR THE E-CONSULTATION LATER THAN I FILL IN THE APPLICATION FORM AND RECEIVE THE E-PRESCRIPTION IMMEDIATELY AFTER PAYMENT?
Payment is required for the doctor to initiate the e-consultation. Simply filling in the form is not a complete application. It is only the paid questionnaire that goes to the doctor and from the moment of payment the time to receive the e-prescription runs.
CAN I COMPLETE THE CONSULTATION FORM ON BEHALF OF MY CHILD OR ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER ADULT?
If you are the person's legal guardian, then you can do so. You will need to enter your details in the 'legal guardian' field when registering.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO MY MEDICAL HISTORY?
Only medical personnel who have been designated or with whom you have had contact have access to your medical history.
HOW WILL MY DATA BE USED?
Your data is only used for the medical service, to the extent that you wish to use it and give your consent. They will never be used for any purpose other than that indicated by you. If you decline newsletters and commercial information, they will not be sent to you. We will never sell your data to a third party unrelated to Teledok's business.
